CINCINNATI – Tell your Metro story with a video or written entry and you might ride Metro free for a year.
Metro’s “Tell Us Your Story” contest kicks off on May 27 at an event on Fountain Square. The event will include table displays, entertainment, prizes, giveaways, and the ability to make a video for Metro’s “Tell Us Your Story” contest. Tours will be available on one of Metro’s new articulated buses parked on Walnut Street, in the Fountain Square loading zone.
The contest is part of Metro’s new initiative to engage the community in a dialogue on the benefits of transit that focuses on four themes:
- Economy and jobs
- Environment
- Energy independence
- Quality of life
Metro is looking for stories that relate to one of those four key areas. Stories can be submitted several ways:
- Videos shot by Metro staff at community events this summer, beginning with Taste of Cincinnati
- Videos submitted on Metro’s website
- Written entries submitted on Metro’s website, via e-mail and on written forms found at www.go-metro.com
Entries will be accepted May 27 - July 31, 2010. The top four video and the top four written entries each will receive a one-month Metro bus pass.
The community will choose the two grand prize winners by voting for their favorite video and favorite written story on www.go-metro.com from Aug. 3 - 31, 2010.
On Sept. 1, 2010, Metro will announce the two grand prize winners who each will receive a year of free rides on Metro.
